Project Rahab started in 2008 with 15 commercial sex workers(CSWs) following a church leadership vision to reach out to them. We believe that CSWs can be redeemed and used mightily by the Lord and therefore, Project Rahab reaches out to CSWs of all ages within Lilongwe and beyond.
Our objective is to employ a redemptive Christ centered approach to the prevention of HIV/AIDS among CSWs with spiritual and economic empowerment programs in order to prevent them from becoming infected as well as to reduce the spread of HIV. Since tits inception many women have dedicated themselves to the Lord are carrying out businesses with church sponsorship and have been provided with basic necessities.
Rahab is now a structured 12 month program that will focus on learning the word of God, working on our self-esteem and growing in Christ. We have redesigned the Rahab Ministry so that we are helping you to produce fruit in your life for the Lord. As you have all accepted Christ as your Savior, you now belong to the Lord. The Lord has very specific ideas on how He wants us to live.
